"This is how it feels to be free." Those are the first words to a song that the students of Teen Challenge in Columbus, Ohio often sing when they visit churches. They attribute this newfound freedom to Christ who came to set us free. "If the Son sets you free, you are free indeed."
If you are in bondage to drugs or alcohol, and are a woman age 18 or older, the staff at Teen Challenge Columbus can help you experience that freedom.
Our vision is to help women with life-controlling problems reach the point where they can function as a Christian in society, applying spiritually motivated Biblical principles to all aspects of their lives and relationships. Teen Challenge endeavors to help people become mentally sound, emotionally balanced, socially adjusted, physically well, and spiritually alive.
Even with the threat of rain our walkathon went very well. We did end up having our picnic on the inside instead of out on the campus grounds but what a time of just enjoying each other's company.

The Farm Science Review is just around the corner! This will be held during the week of September 15th through the 18th. Our biggest need for volunteers will be on Tuesday September 16th, Wednesday 17th, and Thursday 18th. This will be the actual days of serving the fair attendees.
We also need some strong, hard working men to help us set up on Thursday September 11th. This will involve coming to our TC Campus and loading the truck with our freezers, refrigerator, tables, grill and other items.
We will then drive out to London, Ohio and unload and set up a restaurant that will be in full operation the following week. Volunteers are also needed to help tear down, load the truck, and then come back to the center to unload on Friday September 19th. We do appreciate all the help that we will receive. This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year, one that is very much needed.
Work for the 24’ x 70’ modular steel building, donated by Evangel Temple, is on its way! This modular will provide much needed space at the Center.
We have 40 holes in the back yard, filled with cement and we're waiting for the arrival of the building, planned for the week of July 21st. One of the uses for this building will be for a reception center where families can visit with their loved one at Teen Challenge.
We want to thank those of you who have already helped with this project. The cost of the project will be approximately $30,000.00. Some of this has already come in.
We still need your help in completing this project. If you'd like to be a part of bringing this all together please call.
We have been praying and making plans for a resale/consignment shop for Teen Challenge. This would help provide a financial cushion for our center and also help with work experience for the ladies.
We will be needing donations that could be sold in this shop so if you have anything that you would like to donate please contact our office at 614-476-4600. We are also looking for volunteers to help as well.
